Forza Horizon 6 reaches new peak player count on Steam

Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios have officially released Forza Horizon 6 for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and Windows PC. While the game was in its Early Access period for Premium Edition owners, it broke new records. It peaked at 180K Players on Steam, but now it’s even higher on its first day of release.

On May 19, 2026, Forza Horizon 6 reached an all-time peak of 273,148 concurrent players on Steam. As spotted on Steam Charts.

To just acknowledge how big this is – Forza Horizon 5’s total peak player count in its 4.5-year history was just 81,096 on Steam.

It’s hard to pinpoint the exact reason why Forza Horizon 6 is off to a tremendous start. One could say the location of Japan plays a big part in that. You also have to give credit to the marketing department at Xbox.

Not only has Forza Horizon 6’s concurrent player count been high. The game reached over 1 million total players in its Early Access period.
