Gears of War: E-Day release window possibly hinted in WWE Sponsorship

Xbox Game Studios is planning to release a lot of big games this year, including Gears of War: E-Day. A new promotion dropped for AAA Triplemania, the biggest show of the year for WWE’s Lucha Libre promo in Mexico.

At the end of the promotion video shared on Twitter, the Gears of War: E-Day logo is shown. It is generally unusual for a game to sponsor an event like this. However, what’s intriguing is this Triplemania event is being held on Friday, September 11, 2026 and on September 13, 2026. This could be hinting that Gears of War: E-Day will be releasing around this time, because why else promote a game?

It’s not a definite sign that this WWE event is happening the same week that Gears of War launches. We’ll definitely find out the release date on June 7, 2026 when Xbox hosts an exclusive Gears of War: E-Day Direct after the Xbox Games Showcase.

The Gears of War Direct will show 30 minutes of gameplay and news of the prequel. No other hints have been provided by The Coalition or Xbox. It will seem likely that E-Day would release in September since we are getting Forza Horizon 6 this month and Halo: Campaign Evolved is rumored for this summer.
