Players that are well aware on PlayStation 4 should still be exploring Feudal Japan in the open-world adventure carved out by Infamous developer, Sucker Punch Productions. And with the game, of course, receiving high praise for the art direction of the blockbuster project only available on the system – many are satisfied with the title following the criticism that tailed behind last month’s The Last of Us Part II.
And while the latest title is still settling in the market, the developer is back with a new update that ships some new additions as well as adjustments to better the experience in Ghost of Tsushima.
In a new patch blog post, Sucker Punch Productions shares that there will be a handful of new things coming to Ghost of Tsushima including a ‘low intensity combat’ mode. What this feature will do is simmer the dexterity of enemy interactions when fighting in the game. In addition to the new mode, there is also a hairier difficulty mode to push players to the limit.
With the addition of Lethal Difficulty, players will have to face enemies with more responsive reactions and aggression when in battle. While the enemies will be beefier and more resilient than before, Jin’s primary katana will also be packed with a heavier punch as you will discover when playing the new difficulty mode: essentially the antithesis of the low intensity combat mode.
For impaired players who might have had issues with the game’s text and subtitles – Sucker Punch Productions has been listening and added some new elements for those in need of better display of subject matter. Now, players can choose to have larger text size subtitles, objectives, and prompts. Subtitles can also display the speaker’s name as well as change color to contrast better with the background.
As of this past Friday, Ghost of Tsushima was reported to have sold 2.4 million units within its first three days, Sony discloses. You can read the full report by heading here.
