Soma the Condemned is the bounty quest in Ghost of Yotei set in the Yotei Grasslands region. It is one of the later bounties that is unlocked after completing all other bounties in that region. The quest is given by Kojiro, the Bounty Broker, who offers this bounty.
Travel to Lake Jozan, located in the northwest of Yotei Shadow Inn in the grasslands. Near the edge of the map, you’ll find stairs leading into a cave. You will hear music playing behind the wooden door. Equip your Shamisen and play the “Song of Soma” in front of the locked gate and confront Soma. Soma The Condemned Bounty Location and Guide
Complete all the bounties in Yotei Grasslands to get access to Soma The Condemned Bounty in Ghost of Yotie. Speak with the Kojiro in Yotei’s Shadow Inn. This NPC is next to the bounty board. Kojiro asks you to take down Soma the Condemned.
Completing Soma the Condemned bounty in Ghost of Yotie allows you to unlock the Bounty Master’s Armor Set. Soma The Condemned is going to be located at Lake Jozan, so you can just mark it. This boss can be found in a cave at the edge of the map near Lake Jozan.
1. Defeat the Ronin
Call your horse and then follow the wind. You will be approached by the bounty hunter, who will attack you. After defeating him, you get to talk to him. After speaking to the person who was trying to hunt you for the bounty, you can choose a topic. This is going to open up a new location as well as give you a new weapon. So, choose based on which weapon you kind of want. Once you’re done defeating that Ronin, head over to Lake Jozan.
2. Get Inside Lake Jozan
The entrance to Soma is just up ahead in this cavern, but you’ll have to face other enemies who also want to get the bounty off of him before you enter. So, you’ll just have to take them out. Once you’ve defeated the enemies, you can then make your way up into the cavern.
Now, once you make your way up the steps, you’ll see that you’ll come across a big wooden door. You’ll be able to then examine it after going through the door. After examining the door, you should stay and just stand by the door as it will ask you to then swipe left on your touchpad to play the song of Soma.
Once you’ve done that, you need to start playing the song, and then the big wooden doors will open. The entrance is going to be to the left. This is a shortcut to the arena for the boss, and you can use the doors to save time. So, once you’ve done that, you can then go to the right side, where you’ll see this bamboo wall, which you can then take down.
3. Defeat Soma The Condemned
You will find Soma on the other side of the bamboo wall. Now, this boss is quite tough as he does quite a lot of attacks in one single sequence. So, he is pretty tough, and towards the end of the fight, he does change to a spear. Make sure that you know how to use the dual katanas.
I recommend just blocking and parrying most of his attacks until you can get a breakthrough, and then attacking after that. He will request Atsu to play one last song with him after you defeat him. Play the Shamisen by using the controller’s touchpad. A cutscene will commence, showcasing Atsu and Soma playing together.

Once you’ve defeated him and completed the bounty, you’ll then get the bounty master’s armor, which you can either choose to equip or stow.
