Just last week Google announced that those who went the extra mile to pay for the Stadia Pro subscription will be receiving two free titles this December: Tomb Raider Definitive Edition and Farming Simulator 19. At the time, the biggest issue some anticipated to happen was if specific users who already purchased the two games already will be refunded due to the release happening just two weeks prior. However, that happened to already been worked out due to the circumstances.

Now that the new month has begun just yesterday, there is a new problem that many are just facing with this month’s lineup of games. The issue though isn’t with Crystal Dynamics’ title, but instead is with the annual Farming Simulator installment. Users have realized that the version initially promised was the Platinum Edition of the game, but instead was only granted the Standard Edition when initiating the download for the free game.

Don’t worry though, Google has already announced to be working on squashing this bug and the problem has been resolved within the same day.

We were out picking a new planter and hadn’t yet cultivated the field! Of course, Stadia Pro members will be able to claim Farming Simulator 2019: Platinum Edition as one of the free December 2019 titles. You can claim the Platinum Edition now. For those who have already claimed the standard version, you can simply go claim the Platinum Version under the Stadia Pro games on your mobile app.

However, this only turns the tech giant’s arm even tighter behind their back as Google is still facing quite a bit of backlash since Stadia debuted in mid November. The most notable problem that many do not agree with Google is the debacle for why games on the platform do not reach the advertised resolution and performance. We are familiar with Google advertising Stadia ahead of launch to play at 4K visual outputs and 60 frames per second to provide a smooth experience, but not even Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption II can even meet that metric on Google’s streaming platform.

Aside from the other inconveniences that Stadia owners face leading up to and following the service’s release, it will be difficult for Google to undo the damage that has already been done publicly. Especially knowing that the company does not show to have any plans as of yet or a new initiative for Stadia, 2020 will surely be an interesting year to see what will come from Google.
