Today has been quite awesome for Halo fans.  Today, we have received a good amount of details on the latest news on Halo 5: Guardians from an article Gamespot that covers the recent news from Game Informer and new screenshots of some of the weapons that will be used in the game  thanks to the founder of Ready Up Live Dan Hamill aka Greenskull who have posted them on Twitter this morning.

In Halo 5’s co-op mode, players will be able to revive their fallen team mates just like in both Gears of War and Bungie’s Destiny.  So instead of just evading the enemies until your at a safer distance for your teammates to respond like in previous iterations of Halo, you can now walk up to fallen team mate and revive them, which personally feels like the next step for Halo’s co-op experience. Of course, just like in previous games, the player will be accompanied by three companions, which can be controlled by either AIs or other players, but the down side of the co-op aspect is that it will not be able to support split screen.  If you happen to play solo, you can give your teammates commands on which enemy to focus on, which weapon to commandeer, or which fallen teammate to revive.

We’re expecting more details on the game to come next week at this year’s E3, and for more news on Halo 5: Guardians, please stay tune to Rectify Gaming.
