This year is Xbox’s 25th Anniversary, and the company has plans to celebrate in many ways. One way is releasing multiple games of its most iconic franchises, such as Halo: Campaign Evolved, Gears of War: E-Day, Fable, and Forza Horizon 6.
According to insider Tom Warren from The Verge, Halo: Campaign Evolved has a targeted release window of Summer 2026. “Sources at Microsoft tell me that Halo: Campaign Evolved is tentatively targeting release over the summer”, Warren stated in his report.
With Fable planned for the Fall and Gears of War for the second half of 2026, this would be an ideal spot for Halo. This Fall is expected to be busy with the release of GTA 6 and others.
After this report came out from The Verge, other Halo insiders have emerged, suggesting that when Halo Studios had visitors to see the game in October 2025, they were told the studio still had a lot of work to do. Knowing the studio’s recent past with Halo Infinite, there is worry that Campaign Evolved will be rushed.
New Starfield content is expected to arrive this year, and Tom Warren reports that Fallout 3 Remastered is in active development.
Halo: Campaign Evolved will be released on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
