Hello Kitty Skyland is coming to Meta Quest in late 2025

Developer Thirdverse, in partnership with Sanrio Corporation, Ltd, announced a new social VR game, Hello Kitty Skyland. The game is planned to release in Early Access in late 2025 for Meta Quest and “other major VR platforms”.

Hello Kitty Skyland is an innovative social VR game set in the virtual world called Skyland, where Sanrio characters live. Players from around the world can come together to enjoy a variety of activities and interactions unlike anything seen before in Hello Kitty games. In addition to immersive encounters with Sanrio characters in virtual reality (VR), the game offers multiplayer experiences that fully utilize hand controls. Players can also engage in features such as item crafting and customization of their personal space and avatars, enhancing the unique appeal of VR. Through extensive customization, cooperation, and competition, players can experience a truly diverse range of activities.

In the game, players have access to two avatar styles and can switch between them at any time. The humanoid’s style offers extensive customization and dress-up options. The other style is designed to move freely throughout Skyland, enabling dynamic and intuitive VR actions unique to the medium. 

Hello Kitty Skyland will be a free-to-play game when it comes to VR platforms. 

In related news, Hello Kitty and Friends: Freeze Tag Party was announced for Nintendo Switch, releasing in 2025 as well.
