Squanch Games made an appearance at today’s Nintendo Direct, announcing that its blockbuster first-person shooter, High On Life, is coming to Nintendo Switch. Players will be able to play the comedic FPS on the Switch starting May 6, 2025.
High On Life puts humanity against an alien cartel who wants to use them as drugs. It’s up to you to rescue and partner with Charismatic, talking guns, take down Garmantuous and his gang, and save the world.
With its release on Nintendo Switch, High On Life will officially be available on all consoles, with it already on Xbox as of 2022 and, most recently, on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Recently, the game reached an outstanding 20 million users and this accomplishment was assisted by its release on PlayStation Plus’s free games of February 2025.
High On Life Physical Edition For Nintendo Switch
Squanch Games also announced in partnership with Limited Run games that a limited edition Nintendo Switch exclusive physical version of High On Life is releasing. Pre-orders for the physical edition start on April 22 and include High On Knife DLC.
When High On Life was originally released as a console exclusive on Xbox, it became the biggest Xbox Game Pass release of 2022, the largest 3rd Party launch in Game Pass history, and the biggest single-player launch ever on Game Pass.
