For Justin Roiland fans, his extended reach for media has continued to unravel and expand for nearly a decade. Following the success of Adult Swim’s Rick & Morty, Roiland went on to work with Hulu for Solar Opposites – another hit animated series. Atop of that, Roiland also founded Squanch Games which shipped Trover Saves the Universe in the past.
The game while unique in its own right is painted with heavy layers of Roiland’s DNA that brings his taste of comedy to video games. Now, Roiland & Squanch Games is currently occupied with a new first-person shooter, High on Life. The game was revealed this past month at the Xbox + Bethesda Showcase with a colorful palette and talking guns.
Now in a new trailer recently, Squanch Games shares the game is scheduled to release just a week ahead of Halloween this October. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“From the mind of Justin Roiland (Rick and Morty, Solar Opposites) comes High On Life. Humanity is being threatened by an alien cartel who wants to use them as drugs. It’s up to you to rescue and partner with charismatic, talking guns, take down Garmantuous and his gang, and save the world!” the trailer’s description shares.
Of course, since High on Life was a showcased title at the recent Xbox + Bethesda presentation, the game will be a day one release for Xbox Game Pass later this fall. Additionally, the firm also confirmed the long-awaited sequel Hollow Knight: Silksong will also be shipping at arrival for the service in the future too. You can read the full report by heading here.
