ORIGINAL: The Nintendo Switch 2 has been released for about two months now, and we have already seen plenty of first-party Switch games get their Switch 2 Edition. So far, we have seen multiple games receive one such as Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, and soon to be Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
Not only are the Switch 2 Editions built for the upgraded console, but they also have enhanced performance. They also come with new content. Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be receiving a brand-new Star Crossed World DLC that brings a whole layer of new content.
Will Animal Crossing: New Horizons Get A Switch 2 Edition?
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the second-best-selling Switch game behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. While the game hasn’t received content in three years, Nintendo has also not confirmed if Animal Crossing: New Horizons would get a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
It’s something you would have to think Nintendo discussed based on the initial sales. There are also plenty of other titles that have yet to get a Switch 2 Edition yet so fans can still have some hope.
For now, there seems to be no plans for Animal Crossing in sight.
