It Appears Blumhouse Founder Posted New Progress On Five Nights At Freddy’s Movie

While the original launch of the Five Nights at Freddy’s IP started very primitive, it was surprising to learn the direction the series would take in just a decade later. With multiple sequel and follow-up installments, books, and toys, the series is expanding to new mediums. What came even more surprising is the film adaptation underway with Blumhouse Productions. Last major news of the film came from a post in 2018 revealing the creator’s drive to release an true-to-story picture.

In that, Scott Cawthon shared his role in the production ultimately decides if it releases or not. Since then, the movie has remained in production hell with directors like Chris Columbus (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) pulling out from the project. And with its originally projected for 2022, it is certain we are not likely to get that original plan.

Instead, production is still in its concepting phase according to a new post from Jason Blum. In a recent tweet, it appears he posted an image revealing a miniature in process which resembles Freddy Fazbear with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop working on the piece.

While details remain light on the matter since its initial announcement, this is the most tangible new information on the production in months. However, that is truly where the river dries up on details for the movie. Other relevant information recently for the IP can been directed at Stadia. In that, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach shipped for the cloud streaming platform just last month.

Previously, creator Scott Cawthon announced he will be stepping down from his role for the series and plans to be searching for a new candidate to take his position as a successor for the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. You can read the full report by heading here.
