This coming Friday marks the annual Blizzcon event that publisher Blizzard Entertainment holds every year at the Anaheim Convention Center: traditionally, information regarding the latest titles from the company tend to be revealed with potential game stations for attendees to sample what’s next to come. However, this year looks to be a major change of pace as allegedly scheduled announcements have leaked just before this year’s event.

Just this past Sunday, sports network ESPN received a tip from an unnamed source who provided a document that revealed crucial information regarding the upcoming Overwatch 2. Sharing that the game will introduce PvE gameplay elements along with introducing a new game mode, map, and debut another character for the sequel’s roster.

Now according to a separate leak elsewhere, it seems that information for the next Diablo title have been given up before the big announcement. According to PracticalBrush12 on Reddit, the poster discloses a handful of potentially legitimate information regarding Diablo IV. Firstly, the user claims this coming installment will be very toned down and washed out, stepping away from the more vibrant appearance Diablo III gave.

Adding on, they go into detail that elements from 2000’s Diablo II is planned to return that veteran fans should be happy about. Stating that Lilith will be the next Diablo: expanding more on the emphasis of Diablo II characteristics returning by disclosing that “nitty gritty dark style that 2 was praised for” will be implemented in the fourth installment. Skills such as Sorceress’ Charged Bolt is also said to be making a comeback as well.

Other pieces of details that were fleshed out from the Reddit post claims at least three classes: Barbarian, Druid, and Mage. While the poster also shares other details not to sure to be included in Diablo IV, such as PvP at the start of the game, however, is confident cooperative play will be available upon starting the game.

Uneasy about the loosely given claims from the Reddit user, it wouldn’t seem likely that the information provided would come to be true. But despite how this leak was organized, Niko Partners’ Analyst David Ahmad goes on Twitter to reinforce this rumor to be legitimate as he have heard similar through the grapevine. PracticalBrush12 has previously leaked the upcoming Persona 5 Scramble title, giving the user some merit if not believing to be faithful in their latest post.

This now second leak revolving around Blizzard Entertainment looks to be another piece of the puzzle finally fitting. Since the previous report from Kotaku about the now-canned Starcraft first-person shooter, the account disclosed a new Overwatch and Diablo sequel will follow said post.

What do you want from this upcoming Diablo IV?
