When it came to action RPG Fallen Angel when first introduced to it at PAX West 2019, Rectify Gaming was instantly entranced by what the game had to offer at its early development state. From its unique take on the Biblical character Lucifer as the titular Fallen Angel to the combat system introduced from a small team, there is a lot of good to say about the game since.
Looking ahead, game director Hunter Wu shared the project is to continue its development in the coming future to implement a fully functional skill tree, voiced dialogue, and even local co-op later down the line. And while those features were implemented – on PC – the promised console versions are still underway.
This week, Matrioshka Games & V Publishing revealed Fallen Angel will get its console debut for Nintendo Switch this coming month in July. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
“After being banished from heaven… Lucifer returns for vengeance. But the realms are in chaos. The Archangels are in the midst of a power struggle, each fighting to rule Heaven themselves. God has departed, leaving his creations to fend for themselves in a universe without fate,” the synopsis for the game reads from V Publishing’s website.
Entertaining the idea of console versions, it is currently slated to hit Nintendo Switch. However, other platforms are left unmentioned following the announcement. In the original interview, those ports were projected for the game, but is currently absent. Additionally, game modes ‘Turbo Mode’ and ‘Punishment Mode’ are both included in the Nintendo Switch version.
