Microsoft Announces Summer Game Fest Demo Event Spanning From July 21 – July 27

Geoff Keighley’s-hosted Summer Game Fest looks to be expanding even more in July with another event that will be spanning across the latter parts of this month. While the second portion for Day of the Devs will be taking place on July 20 – the fun does not stop there. Instead, players specifically on Xbox One will be able to dabble with a myriad of unique, upcoming titles as a Demo Event will be hosted then.

Announcing the Summer Game Fest Demo Event, Microsoft has teamed up with the titular organization to bring some of the most anticipated titles to users across the globe. With E3 this year being out the window, the games initially scheduled to be offered at the in-person show will now be available online for users to install and sample.

Here are just some of the mentioned titles for the 100 somewhat games that will be available later this month:

Cris Tails
Destroy All Humans! Remake
Haven
Hellpoint
Raji: An Ancient Epic
Skatebird
The Vale: Shadow of the Crown
Welcome to Elk

Microsoft elaborates more on the coming virtual event by sharing that about 60 of the games that will be available will be new projects that have yet to be revealed. Additionally, majority of the demos that will be available to install from the platform’s dashboard will only be available to that week’s promotion; following the event, some are said to be added to the demo channel on the Xbox store, but did not mention which titles.

While only a little more than a handful of games were shared today, Microsoft tells that more titles will be revealed as we reach closer to the start of the event later this month. The firm also emphasizes that the demos available will play more to the note as development builds – suggesting not to expect the game to be fully optimized alike a fully released title.

Furthermore, Microsoft also encourages players to send their feedback to the respected development team – both good and bad. “The developers would love to hear what you think. Hit them up on social media or through their websites. If you like the game – tell them! If you have constructive criticism, they would love to hear that too.”
