Microsoft has been very open about releasing its games on as many platforms as possible. There have been reports that a new Xbox handheld console will be released later this year and in the future. Recently, the company posted a screenshot by accident that shows what could be the new Xbox App UI.

In a blog post that was about “Opening a Billion Doors with Xbox,” Microsoft accidentally shared an image of the new Xbox UI that revealed not only a new look but showcased a Steam tab. From the looks of it, players might be able to link their Steam and Epic Games Store accounts to the Xbox app.

According to Tom Warren at The Verge, sources say Microsoft is working on an Xbox app update “that will show every game you have installed on your PC”. This would include Steam and the Epic Games Store. The app development is still in the early stages Tom Warren says so it might be a while until we officially see this.

Microsoft has since removed the image from their blog post and did not comment at this time.

What do you think about this move from Xbox?
