The past few days, many Destiny fans were wondering if the Project Scorpio version was going to be capped at 30 frames-per-second given PS4 Pro is capped at 30 fps. Mike Ybarra, Corporate Vice President – Xbox & Windows gaming platform at Microsoft went to Twitter to clarify, once again, that developers are free to use the power of Project Scorpio for their games and that Microsoft has no requirements limiting framerate or fidelity to do so.
This means, theoretically, Destiny 2 should be able to run at 60 FPS on Scorpio and 30 FPS on standard Xbox One, although it’s up to Bungie to make that call. Xbox’s E3 is on June 11th, that date we will know more about what Bungie will decide to do with Scorpio’s version, until then stick with us!
