“We’re having a blast supporting the community across Call of Duty. The teams have had fun connecting with our players and creating high-quality, new experiences for them. Player engagement is up with more players playing now than this time last year.”

It remains unclear how many players have been enjoying Call of Duty as of late across all platforms, but it remains the most popular game on PlayStation and it was the third-most played Xbox game as well. This is coming off of the release of Season 3 on April 3, 2024.
Capture The Flag is finally available in Modern Warfare III after it was not available at launch and it took until Season 3 for it to arrive in the game. This new season of Call of Duty also brought Cheech & Chong to the series for the first time as a combined bundle.
In June’s Xbox Showcase, we will learn about the future of Call of Duty with the reveal of Black Ops: Gulf War. Additionally, it is possible that we may see older Call of Duty titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in the near future.
