Monster Hunter Stories 3: All Invasive Monsters

Monster Hunter Stories 3 are powerful creatures that invade and take over a region to disrupt the ecosystem balance. They are treated like boss fights or unique encounters, not random enemies. Instead of simply defeating them, your objective is to repel them from the area.

Once repelled, they retreat into their den, which becomes accessible to get monster eggs. Invasive Monsters are important because they enable ecosystem restoration and help you get stronger Monsties with better genes in Monster Hunter Stories 3.

Invasive Monsters Overview

Invasive Monsters are powerful beasts that have taken over territory in the world of Monster Hunter Stories 3. They have disrupted the ecosystems, making endangered species rare in that region. Unlike other fights, you don’t need to defeat Invasive Monsters early on because they have more strength and defense.

Invasive Monsters Breakdown

The objective here for you is to force them to retreat into their den. Attacking them at their weaknesses lets you quickly make them flee. The invasive monsters go to sleep after retreating, making it easier to collect the eggs from the nest. These eggs are crucial because they bring new monsties upon hatching them in the Stable.

Encounter the Invasive Monster

Hatching those eggs isn’t just for new companions, so release them back into the wild. Invasive Monsters are crucial for long‑term progression rather than just single fights. The game allows you to revisit them later to gain rare eggs when your team is stronger.

How To Find Invasive Monsters

Unlike Mutated Monsters, Invasive Monsters don’t appear everywhere; they appear in specific, large arena‑style zones or distinct spots in Monster Hunter Stories 3. These monsters spawn mostly at night, urging you to explore in the darkness.

Find Invasive Monsters

Some of these monsters only appear after you defeat certain Feral Monsters or progress the story. Exclamation marks or unique icons on the map often mark Invasive Monster dens. The endemic life changes in the area indicated that the Invasive monsters are nearby. After locating them, drive them back to their den. Below are all the areas from which you can find the Invasive Monsters in Monster Hunter Stories 3.

  • Azuira: Feature three Invasive Monsters across its different zones.
  • Canalta Timberland: Contains three Invasive Monsters, and some appear during the main story.
  • Tarkuan: Have Invasive Monsters on the rocky terrain, but bring the Climbing Monstie to reach the upper area.
  • Serathis: Hold only one Invasive Monster on the northeast of the rock formation.

Find all invasive monsters
Invasive Monster Egg Reward How To Find How To Tackle
Invasive Khezu (Serathis) Barioth Egg Go to the northeast to reach the top of the rock formation from the Lookout Point. Locate the entrance of the path on the map, indicated by the arrow. Perform the best attack to remove its Paralysis by using Speed double attack. Once you get the prompt for Kinship, use it instantly to let it retreat. Use your Negate Paralysis item while the monster is standing idle.
Invasive Diablos (Tarkuan) Zinogre Egg Move southeast to the ground floor from the Lookout Point: Rococo Rocks Catavan Stand. Continue following the path after finding the ravine opening. Approach the wall at the end and climb it to encounter the monster. Use the Hammer with the Meteor skill to hit the correct hole when the Diablos moves underground. Hitting the right hole lets the monster retreat.
Invasive Odogaron (Tarkuan) Tigrex Egg Glide south from the Rococo Rocks Catavan Stand and go through the northwest into the main opening area. Continue moving deep down to enter the area of this monster. Use piercing weapons to break its claws or inflect Mudbogged with Mud Torrent. This monster can grow its claws back, so keep Mudbogged continuously.
Invasive Shogun Ceanataur (Canalta Timberland) Mizutsune Egg Get into the ravine from the south after reaching Lookout Point: Howlingyowl Forest Catavan Stand. Go through the waterfall to get inside the cave. Increase your companion’s defense and use Mega Armorskin to hit the monster. Use Defensive Ditty Hunting Horn skill to block its attack.
Invasive Arzuros (Canalta Timberland) Canyne Egg Encountered during Act 2 as part of the main story progression. Defeat the smaller summoned Arzuros until its honey runs out. Choose the weapon that can deal AoE damage.
Invasive Nerscylla (Canalta Timberland) Nargacuga Egg Get to the Camp: Blessing Hill and glide towards the narrow path from the ravine. Make sure to cross the area from the elevated terrain. Use Wyvern Fire or Wyvern Blaze skill with a Gunlance, and hit the monster after dealing with the red arrow attack.
Invasive Plesioth (Azuria) Lagiacrus Egg Use a Royal Ludroth or Plesioth after reaching the Mirror Lake Catavan Stand. Go through the river into the secret cave. You can also reach there after getting down at the water area from the east side of the land. Use the fire-based weapon and break its head after it stores water in its head for the massive attack.
Invasive Sergios (Azuria) Astalos Egg Ride the Flying Monstie after reaching the Mirror Lake Catavan Stand. Move above the Mirror Lake to get to the indicated cliff on the map. Use a hammer to hit a group of enemies and use the AoE skill after checking the color of its shout. Use Speed attack for red color and Power attack for green color.
Invasive Yian Garuga (Azuria) Rathian Egg Encountered Act 1, Chapter 6 in the main story in the Sunpetal Plains. Use the Hammer to break its leg by dealing blunt damage.

Hi, I’m Ali. I started gaming with Max Payne, and it set the tone for my interest in darker, more immersive experiences. I mostly play soulslikes, RPGs, and FPS titles that focus on tight mechanics and pacing.

I have a strong appreciation for game soundtracks and how they shape the overall experience. I’m also a long-time horror fan, across both games and films, with a preference for atmosphere-driven storytelling. This space reflects that passion, exploring games through both their mechanics and the atmosphere they create.
