Earlier this month, developer Natsume revealed that the next installment for Harvest Moon is on the way for later in 2020 with the announcement of One World. Taken from the synopsis of the game, the studio framed this new entry to be scrapping the core farming formula the series is notorious for which left followers interested to learn more in the coming future.

That same time, the developer only shed light that a Switch version was on the way. With the preceding Light of Hope which shipped for Nintendo’s system alongside PlayStation 4 as well, it was questionable what the team had planned. In a new press release, the studio announces the respected version by showcasing the box art for the game.

“We are also excited to officially confirm it is coming to the PlayStation 4 alongside the Switch,” Natsume CEO Hiro Maekawa stated regarding the new announcement, “The Harvest Moon franchise has a long history on the Sony platforms including releases on the original PlayStation, PlayStation 2, 3 and 4 as well as the PS Vita and PSP.”

Concerning other new details on the game, nothing else has yet to be spared as of yet. While the cover art to portray a sample of what the full game will be like, it is unsure how the entire new scenario will play out. For now, fans will just have to be a little more patient until new details is spared in the coming months.

In the meantime, we suggest you go read our review for Harvest Moon: Lil’ Farmers. Rectify Gaming tells the game to be “amusing, cute, and a decent way to pass time while waiting in a doctors office or performing other mundane, daily tasks.” You can read the review in full by heading here.
