If you’re not familiar with the Mortal Kombat X Mobile challenges, here’s how it works:
Every few weeks, NetherRealm Studios releases a Character Challenge in which you take on 12 to 15 fighters in each tower, five total, in no particular order. Towers I, II, and III are typically restricted to Bronze and/or Silver fighters only. Tower IV is restricted to a certain class fighter (i.e. Spec Ops, Martial Artists, etc), and Tower V you must have one particular fighter to advance.
Once you defeat all the fighters, including the boss, which is the Challenge Character, you earn that particular character. You can only do so twice, and you will earn a Tier I, which is a more powerful version of that character.
Typically, NetherRealms Studios has an early access to the Challenge Character about a week before the Character Challenge for $19.99 (no thanks, it can wait).
What ended up happening was the Treacherous Tanya challenge didn’t expire yet (it needed about a week left), so NetherRealms Studios accidentally released the Assassin Jade Challenge. Once the studio realized what happened, it removed it.
Needless to say, some on social media (including this writer that was also playing) weren’t too pleased.

However, in a seemingly goodwill gesture, if you did complete the Treacherous Tanya challenge (i.e. twice), NetherRealm Studios will give you a chance to complete it again, so you can get a Tier III Tanya after the challenge expires.
While it’s disappointing that many were cut off from playing the Assassins Jade challenge, it is nice of NetherRealm Studios to compensate players to complete the challenge again if they did so the first time.

I have been gaming since 1987 when arcades were king. Still enjoy old school games. “Part-time” writer, forever gamer.
