It was just this past month that developer Slightly Mad Studios will be finishing up on development for the third entry for the Project Cars series published by Bandai Namco later this summer. However, there is the chance the development team is also underway with a new Test Drive project following Project Cars 3.

Reflecting on previous entries, the London-based studio was responsible for the last release game, Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends. Now in a new teaser shared on Twitter, the game’s newly created account tells that the series has returned following its eight year hiatus.

Dissecting the account further – it reveals that the profile was only created back in May of this year, but the tweet being reported was posted this past Friday. While nothing on the title is shared regarding the titling or even a glimpse at the game itself, the profile also reads in its description “the official Twitter page for Test Drive Unlimited;” presumably crowning this title the third installment for the unannounced entry.

In that same post, the page also discloses that more will be revealed during the Nacon Connect digital event that will be taking place this coming Tuesday, July 7th. Watching the official trailer for the virtual showcase shares a glimpse at what looks to be a new racing game which Rectify Gaming suspects to be the new Test Drive title. The video was uploaded on June 30 four days before the tweet was made, so there was even earlier knowledge of the game for more dedicated fans to unearth.

Alongside Test Drive 3 making a comeback, Greedfall developer Spiders is also reported to be showcasing its new project as well as the anticipated Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood. All projects mentioned were shared in the teaser trailer uploaded by Nacon – formerly Big Ben Interactive.

What are you most excited about a new Test Drive game being announced?

Nacon Connect will be taking place on 7 PM CEST / 1 PM EST / 10 AM PST.
