Microsoft’s track record for new updates on its platform has grew immensely in the month of September alone. At the start of the month, the Xbox firm rolled out a new update for console which integrates a new filter feature for Xbox Party Chat enabling to siphon out background chatter, chewing, and other noises. The same update also included Jump & Play feature for mobile and PC to instantly launch games when viewing captures uploaded by friends.
Not only that, but there are plans already confirmed to overhaul Xbox’s homepage UI. The remodeling for the home dashboard has already rolled out for Xbox Insider Alpha Skip-ahead Rings and will be available for all in 2023. Additionally, Discord Voice has finally been implemented for all Xbox users via the dashboard enabling players to enjoy gaming with more friends than ever.
In a new update post on Xbox Wire, the firm has announced a new collaboration with HowLongToBeat for the Xbox PC App. Now, users can strategically track their progress and determine how much longer upon completion for the respected game. This is another partnership Xbox made following the previous Razer/XSplit Widgets for PC back in 2020.
You can view estimates for how long it will take you to complete a game in the game details pages for most PC Game Pass games. HowLongToBeat is a community-driven website that specializes in game lengths.
You can click ‘View Details’ to submit your own times, manage your library of games, and help aid gamers around the world in their pursuit to conquer their backlog! You’ll also find additional insights on how people play including community reviews, playthrough notes, and data breakdowns by platform and playstyle.

Microsoft has also improve wait time when launching the application alongside overall performance being boosted for the PC client too. “With the most recent update, the app now launches up to 15% faster, and we’ve also made some fixes for overall better responsiveness when you interact with key experiences in the app.
“We’ve seen crash-free sessions improve to 99.9%, and player reports of games that didn’t download or didn’t install successfully reduced by nearly half. We’ve also focused on increased relevance for search results, and getting results back is now up to 20% faster.” What are you most excited from the new update for Xbox PC?
