On Tuesday, The Pokémon Company held its periodical ‘Pokémon Presents’ showcase the feature future plans for the franchise. Namely announcements includes the now available mobile/Switch title Pokémon Friends – a puzzle, track-matching title. Additionally, it also teased the stop-motion Aardman project ‘Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu’ which is to release in 2027.

As for games, the closing segment was featured on the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A coming later this fall. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, it will surely be a seller for the hardware. Already, Nintendo Switch 2 has recorded at least 3.5 million sales currently. One new report disclosed that the system exceeded at least 1 million alone in Japan; a new milestone for Nintendo hardware.

Now crossing the streams, Pokémon Legends: Z-A & Nintendo Switch 2 is happening with a bundle coming in October. The same day as the game’s release, a Nintendo Switch 2 will be packages with Pokémon Legends: Z-A priced at $499.99. Alike the Mario Kart World bundle, this will come with the base unit and a download code for the full game at a slightly discounted price.

“Today, Nintendo of America announced a brand-new Nintendo Switch 2 bundle that combines the Nintendo Switch 2 system with the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition game. […] the bundle includes the Nintendo Switch 2 system and the full game download for the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition game,” the press release reveals.

One missed opportunity is a themed system. Previously, Nintendo has worked with The Pokémon Company to ship specialized hardware inspired by the featured title.
