
Today, Nintendo announced that Switch, Switch Lite, and the Switch OLED Model consoles will be discontinued in Europe starting in the middle of February 2027.
This is due to upcoming battery-related revisions that will start in 2027 in Europe.
The Switch family will continue to be made throughout 2026, Nintendo says and will remain widely available across Europe. The Nintendo Switch launched in March 2017, Switch lite released in 2019, and the Switch OLED Model released in 2021.
The upcoming battery revisions will be applied to the Nintendo Switch 2 family include its console. Below is a list of what will change starting in February 2027:
