Nintendo Switch Online New Subscription Tier Including Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis & Animal Crossing: New Horizons Expansion Arrives October 25

While the Nintendo Switch Online service goes on to issue increments of new titles for both its Nintendo Entertainment System & Super Nintendo Entertainment System virtual libraries, the monthly service is growing redundant in what it offers. Previously, claims went on to state that Nintendo is preparing to ship the service with Game Boy & Game Boy Color titles.

However, a later rumor indicated that the bundle is planned to also incorporate titles for Nintendo 64 as well. With the firm missing a new virtual library for 2020, many went to believe the likeliness of the statement at the time to compensate the absence of a new additions. It was during the September Nintendo Direct that Nintendo Switch Online is receiving virtual libraries for Nintendo 64 & Sega Genesis.

Recently, Nintendo stated the new games for Nintendo 64 will be running at 60hz for all regions. Now in a new announcement on Friday, Nintendo Switch Online’s new tier is to go live on at the end of the month. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“With your Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, you now get access to even more benefits, including a library of Nintendo 64 games with newly added online play for up to 4 players, Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise (available 11/5/21) , and retro SEGA Genesis games!” the description reads for the new subscription tier on Nintendo’s website.

As you can read from the statement, the new subscription tier for Nintendo Switch Online includes the new paid DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Happy Home Paradise. On Friday, Nintendo held a Direct presentation for the game which introduced new characters, design options, and the aforementioned paid DLC for the game.
