UPDATE: Yesterday Eurogamer had reported that Nintendo will end the production of the Wii U this week. Now According to Japanese website, IT Media Nintendo says that is not true.
“There is no change to our continuing [Wii U] production.”
“Even though the Nintendo Switch is slated to go on sale, [Wii U] production is scheduled to continue.” In this reply, IT Media added that there are also upcoming Wii U titles planned for release. Such as Zelda: BoTW that will sell well on both the Switch and Wii U.
At this rate let’s just see what happens in the coming weeks and months.
According to sources, Nintendo will end the Wii U production this week on November 4th. As of September 30th Nintendo had shipped 13.36m Wii U consoles. If you’d like to compare, GameCube sold 21m. N64 sold 32m. Wii sold 101m.
RIP Wii U. Production will be coming to an end very soon, I'm told.

The Nintendo Wii U launched back in 2012 and had one of the poorest launch titles as well as the sales. This is an end to a era and for Nintendo’s sake it is better to move on.
