Earlier this week, developer Kinetic Games announced a collaboration between Phasmophobia and Alan Wake 2. There will be a limited-time event in Phasmophobia where Ghost Hunters will unravel a new chapter from Alan Wake, unlock in-game rewards, and more.
The special event will begin on May 12 and will conclude on June 2, 2026.
Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment, shared this regarding the crossover:
“There are many fans of Phasmophobia at Remedy, so it was a thrilling opportunity to bring these two horror worlds together in this dream – or rather, nightmare – collaboration. It was a joy to write this. Our two twisted worlds amplify each other perfectly.”
Daniel Knight, CEO of Kinetic Games, shared the following:
“Working with Remedy has been an incredible experience, and the way these two worlds overlap has opened up some unsettling possibilities that we’re excited for players to explore. It’s a natural crossover, and our art team has been hard at work capturing the atmosphere of Alan Wake 2, bringing the essence of some of the game’s iconic locations into Phasmophobia. We can’t wait for fans of both games to see what the event has in store on May 12th.”
Thanks to Final Weapon for sharing the quotes.
This wouldn’t be the first time that Alan Wake did a crossover with another horror-style game. In 2024, Dead by Daylight did a collaboration with the character, making him his own chapter in the game.
Phasmophobia is available to play on PC via Steam, Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PSVR 2.
