Sony announced it has officially sold over 75 million PlayStation 5 consoles worldwide. Sony’s latest financial report also confirmed that 9.5 million units were sold in the fourth quarter that ended on December 31, 2024.

PlayStation Networks’ monthly active users were up as well in FY24 Q3 at 129 million compared to 118 million in FY23 Q23. Along with that PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 reached 95.9 million units in software which is a 6.2 million increase from last year. 

In other Sony related news, the most recent State of Play featured a variety of third-party games including Borderlands 4. The presentation gives us a better idea how developers and publishers view the PlayStation platform. 

Other games include Days Gone Remastered which will release in April 2025 on PC and PS5.
