playstation apple pay

There are many ways gamers can purchase new games in the modern era, and now PlayStation players can use Apple Pay. It was discovered that PlayStation 5 users now have a new way to complete purchases of games and other content on the PS Store.

Apple Pay is now available on PlayStation 5. When users go through the checkout process on their PS5, there will be a new option to make a purchase using Apple Pay. Once you choose it,  you’ll be shown a unique code to scan on your iPhone or iPad. Once the code is scanned, the Apple Pay checkout screen will pop up on your mobile device where you can choose which card to use.

Right now, PlayStation 5 only has Apple Pay, but it is expected to hit PlayStation 4 soon with a new software update. The new way to pay is not as fast as keeping your card on file. However, it is nice to see there will be more ways to make purchases on the console.

It has also been reported that Cash App and Venmo will be arriving on PlayStation as payment options.
