Today, Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed its financial results for PlayStation 5, including its hardware sales. As of March 31, 2026, PlayStation 5 has shipped 93.7 million units worldwide.

From January 1 to March 31, 2026, a total of 1.5 million PlayStation 5 consoles were shipped. This is down 0.9 million from the same period in the previous fiscal year.

In related news, there are 125 million monthly active users on PlayStation Network, which is up from the previous fiscal year. PS4 and PS5 software sales combined for 74.6 million units sold during the three-month period.

85 percent of software sales were full game software digital downloads, which is up five percent from the same period the previous fiscal year.

Nintendo also released its financial results for the Switch consoles. The Switch has sold 155.92 million units, while the Switch 2 has sold nearly 20 million units already. The Switch 2 is also getting a price increase, and Nintendo apologized to its consumers for it.
