Given the initial reveal for Pokémon Unite was believed to be an underwhelming showcase for a game that crosses the likes of Pokémon with MOBA arena combat, the current state of the game appears to be more successful than those criticizing the game initially. When it came to Nintendo Switch officially just last month, players flocked to the release as word mentioned the experience to be better than what was perceived.
However, the title is not completely out just yet. In that, developer Timi & The Pokémon Company also promised a mobile release of the game is anticipated to follow the Nintendo Switch version shortly after. During the launch for Nintendo’s platform, it was said players can expect a full release coming sometime in September 2021.
In a new announcement on Wednesday, it is revealed that Pokémon Unite is to ship for both Android and iOS on September 22. Additionally, pre-registration has went live for the two following the reveal. Timi shares that pre-registering will unlock exclusive content if a certain metric is met before release for avid players.
“Preregistration has already kicked off on the App Store and Google Play Store. If you haven’t preregistered already, there’s an added incentive to do so. If preregistration totals reach 2,500,000, participants will receive a Pikachu Unite license. And if preregistration numbers hit 5,000,000, participants will get a special Holowear—Festival Style: Pikachu!”
The developer goes on to clarify that those that do not redeem the reward, if met, will reward late users with Aeos coins instead. The team also notes that both Pokémon Mamoswine and Sylveon are on the horizon for their addition to Pokémon Unite.
For those interested in pre-registering can head either to the Google Play Store or The App Store respectively to sign-up.
