Yet again, developer Respawn Entertainment went on another nostalgic whim to return King’s Canyon for players who are eager to play the map once again. Yes, although we just dropped into the inaugural region for Apex Legends with the latest System Override Event earlier this week. However, this twists the announcement even more: this rerun of the map will instead be the Season 2 makeover.
You read that right, the second iteration of King’s Canyon will be making a comeback which introduced different added structures and the parading Leviathan that walks across the map.
Returning back to the discussion of the latest event that took place for Apex Legends recently, although the experience is technically over, Respawn Entertainment went to clarify that the newly-added EVO Shields will remain in the game and in future events scheduled for later on in 2020. The shield unlike the others we are familiar with has a level system which grows in strength and its own color through the more damage you deal.
So kicking off from Friday March 20 through this ongoing weekend until March 23, grandfathered players or newcomers can all indulge in the game’s revamp of the classic Apex Legends’ location. This now marks the second instance that the game’s developer decided to abruptly drop a playable weekend of King’s Canyon; occurring just a month before.
What version of King’s Canyon do you prefer the most?
Apex Legends is out now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
