Revenge of the Savage Planet Launches May 2025

Then-Typhoon Games’ Journey to the Savage Planet did tap new interest when it was coming out. “What I feel the game really delivers on is the whole co-op experience. […] Exploring with a friend really seems like it will be a blast and with upgrades applying for both of you, you won’t be left behind while your friend takes all the glory,” Rectify Gaming wrote in its preview for the game then.

Since the, the developer rebranded into Raccoon Logic following the closure of Stadia Games & Entertainment. As part of its new identity, the developer did retain the rights to its IP. This past August at Gamescom Opening Night Live, Raccoon Logic announced Revenge of the Savage Planet with a 2025 release date slated for the game.

At the recent IGN ID@Xbox Showcase, Revenge of the Savage Planet is to launch this May. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“We got a new look at this co-op exploration adventure by way of an in-universe commercial for the Kindred Catalog – Revenge of the Savage Planet features dozens of fresh and funny upgrades such as the goo cannon, which allows players to create slippery, sticky or flammable surfaces in the world! Or a whip to keep creatures from eating your face! Or a grapple to swing from point to point! Or a lasso to capture creatures and send them back to your Habitat for research.”

Of course, the title was featured as an addition to Xbox Game Pass upon release. The game was showcased alongside Balatro, Buckshot Roulette, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, Echo Weaver, Tanuki Pon’s Summer, and Ultimate Sheep Raccoon. You can read the full report by heading here.
