Nintendo’s lineup of titles this Fall is beginning to arrive with the release of Astral Chain today and later next month with The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, so what is to follow is expected to be shared through a proper announcement from the publisher. Though Nintendo did present the Indie World showcase at Gamescom just a few weeks ago, a primary is definitely due to arrive sometime soon.
Many have felt that the company is preparing for a formal livestreamed presentation looking at the closing first year of the Nintendo Online Service which debuted following a Direct just last September. So it seems right that the company would show something off in celebration.
According to a well-known Nintendo insider Emily Rogers, she shares that a Direct online show will be arriving very soon as heard through the grapevine of the gaming industry.
Date may have changed, so please be gentle, but I’m pretty sure it’s next week. First week of September.
Rogers also suggests that the currently unannounced Nintendo Direct will cover titles ranging from this September all the way to March next year in 2020. She agrees with other users on ResetEra that have also said the same for an expected presentation to land sometime before this year’s annual Tokyo Game Show in hosted in Japan’s capital.
Reflecting back to the year anniversary of the Nintendo Online Service, this will also applies to the current library for the Nintendo Entertainment Service. Which leads fans to suspect that the debut for the SNES emulated library to be announced at this alleged upcoming Nintendo Direct. Other news to support this claim is the more recent discovery of the patent for the SNES controller on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Again, Rogers is a very known persona in the Nintendo community and does hold credibility towards rumors surrounding the Nintendo platform, so chances that a Direct will be arriving in the coming week is up there.
What do you think might be revealed from this potential Direct?
