
Looking back to this past May, it was speculated that one very beloved and memorable entry from Ubisoft could be underway for a re-release on current hardware. Speaking of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, many assumed there is a good chance the game could be hitting the latest Xbox & PlayStation as well as Switch later this summer thanks to Ubisoft acknowledging the author’s interest in bringing the game to present hardware.
Howbeit, many later believed that the hopes of seeing the game returning later squandered as the announcement did not make its reveal during the 10th anniversary of the titular film mid last month. But despite what many thought, that was pretty far from reality.
In that, Ubisoft took the opportunity with today’s Ubisoft Forward to officially announce Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
“Rediscover the beloved 2D arcade-style beat’em up inspired by the iconic comic book series and movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World in this Complete Edition,” the video description tells. “Play as your favorite characters – Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, Knives Chau, Stephen Stills, and more. Team up with 3 of your friends as you battle your way through waves of tough enemies to defeat the League of Evil Exes!”
In addition to the game making a return with it hitting current storefronts later this year, the new version will also include the content that was sold separately from the base game. That includes both the ‘Knives Chau Add-on Pack’ and the ‘Wallace Wells Add-on Pack’. Both DLCs also offers “subspace minigames, dodgeball, and PvP battles”, Ubisoft shares.
