Following the debut of the Forsaken Shores expansion for Sea of Thieves, more content is still making its way to the great blue. Developer Rare has revealed a new quest mode when out to earn more gold on your adventures.
Cargo Runs expands on the Merchant Alliance as another option to reach Pirate Legend. giving the player more tasks at hand when delivering cargo. Seaports have been added to the map in each region, where you can accept cargo runs and see what’s for sale when taking a break from your voyage.
The objective for these new delivery quests is to transport the specific items with the least amount of damage. Each item have varying requirements to keep from sabotaging it:
- Rum bottles must be transported with care, jumping or falling will break them if you’re not too safe.
- Plants require to be watered, if neglected they can die before reaching its destination.
- Cloth rolls require to be dry when being delivered to the merchant.
The better condition the cargo is, the better reward is when reaching its buyer. Just like with treasure chests and skulls, other players can steal your cargo and sell it as there’s a note pinned to it with the respected location and time needed for delivery.
Sea of Thieves is available now for Xbox One and PC.
