The boss grabs you and crushes your torso with its fox arm. Eliminating this boss without even dying allows you to gain The Bird that Flies Highest trophy. Escape from the Dark Shrine after defeating the boss in combat to complete the final chapter. In this guide, we’ll discuss how to progress in Dark Shrine Final Path in Silent Hill f, including some useful tips to defeat the boss.
Proceed Through Torir Gates

Continue following the path after the cutscene ends. Pass through the Torir Gates and turn to the left to find the shrine. This is the first shrine, where Hinako’s doll is sitting on the front. This is the same area as it was in Dark Shrine Path Chapter. Collect the bandage, crowbar, and yokan from here. Move to the path on the right and go through the wooden bridge and torii gate.
The blue flame starts rising in the area once you go past the bridge. Be aware of some enemies here that will rush and attack you. Defeat these enemies and collect the items. Approach the Inari statue and collect items from behind it.

Keep following the path after opening the door. There is a cocoon in this area, so equip your weapon and attack it. This area will be filled again with the blue flames once you attack it. Defeat all the enemies that appear and continue heading to the path ahead. Pick up the healing items nearby. You will find the Sacred right in front of you, so open it and pick up the items. Interact with the shrine and save your progress. Open the other door and follow the path all along.
Make sure you have the best weapon, healing items, and other resources before heading forward. Open the other door and move straight. You can pick a Kitchen Knife and an Axe from this area. Having the best weapons and items can be useful while fighting the final boss. Open the final door, and a cutscene will commence. Another cutscene will trigger after opening the final door, and you have to fight Shiromuko in a final boss fight.
Defeat the Shiromuku
Shiromuku has three phases in a fight, and each one is more devastating with chains of attacks. Defeating this boss can be challenging if you didn’t learn her attack pattern quickly. Make sure you have Divine Water and healing items before engaging in a fight. The third phase will surely exhaust your healing consumables.
Phase One

The boss initiates the fight by attacking you with her fangs five times. She slows red before hitting you for the fourth time. You can counter this attack right now, so press R2 to get the opening to deal damage to Shiromuku. The boss can recover pretty fast, so stay alert. She will be stunned once you deal enough damage. Less time is required to stun the boss, making this fight pretty much easier. Once the boss is stunned, perform a heavy attack and then follow up with the light attacks.
Phase Two

Once you deal enough damage to Shiromuku, her phase 2 will start. The boss performs new attacks that can deal massive damage. She does an AoE attack while you’re standing. You need to dodge this attack at the right moment, allowing this attack to leave a trail. Continue damaging the boss, and she will fall again. This gives you an opening to deal massive damage, but this will not take too long as she gets up quickly.
Phase Three

Shiromuku performs an AoE attack after getting up. The fight becomes more tense in this last phase, as she has the Fox Arm now. You can’t dodge this move, so try to run. Instead, you can approach the boss to avoid taking much damage.
The boss will take time to charge this attack, allowing you to deal as much damage in this time. All you need to do is approach the Shiromuku and start attacking her with your weapon. Running away from this attack can’t be helpful because you will end up taking the damage.
You need to heal your character after taking the impact of that attack. The boss will rush towards you and perform a jump slash attack that you can easily dodge. The boss has new chains of attacks in this phase, so be ready and attentive. The boss can also move backward or leap away to avoid taking the damage from you.
You gain regeneration and 99 red capsules if you die while fighting the final boss, so don’t stress out. Continue to damage the boss and make her fall. This will trigger a cutscene, and you need to escape from the Dark Shrine. Defeat the Shiromuku to gain The Bird that Flies Highest trophy. However, you can only get this award if you didn’t die in this boss fight.
Shiromuku All Attacks
Below are all the attacks of Shirmuku along with their counter in Silent Hill f.
- Grab Attack- The boss grabs quickly and deals much damage. Make sure to reach the boss from the back and dodge to the right.
- Jump Slash Attack – She jumps towards you and hits with both of her hands. Once you see the blood on screen, dodge quickly to avoid this attack.
- Arm Chain Attack- She uses both of her hands four times to attack you. Keep dodging the first three hits and come up with the counterattack when she tries to perform the fourth. The boss glows while hitting for the fourth time.
- AoE- She spawns an AoE attack on the ground, and the roots will grab you in that area if you get hit. You need to dodge this attack when you see AoE under you.
- Charged Strike- The boss charges her Fox Arm and starts moving in the area to deal damage. Dodge quickly to get out of sight when she brings her arm down.
- Three Hit- The fight initiates with a three-hit combo. You can dodge the first hit and move forward, allowing the boss to miss the second hit. Dodge the third attack right after the second hit.
Stay close to her and dodge as much as you can during phase 1. She summons red patches on the ground during the second phase, so get ready to avoid those red patches. Rush down the boss and attack her because she will be powering up for an AoE attack in the third phase. Defeat Tsukumogami for Fox’s Wedding ending and Shiromuku and Shichibi for The Fox Wets Its Tail ending. For the Ebisugaoka in Silence, get ready to defeat the Gods.
Escape From The Dark Shrine

Once the boss fight ends, continue moving on the path. Avoid all the enemies here, as defeating them will not change anything. Keep traveling on the path and pick up Red Capsules on the ground to create a trail, giving you a hint that you’re in the right direction. After moving on the path for a while, you will see a red light in a far distance. The light feels more distance when you try to approach it. Eventually, you will reach the red light, and a cutscene will commence. That’s where the Dark Shrine Final Path (Chapter 13) in Silent Hill f ends.
