With the reassuring news that Skybound has picked up Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season to grind out the last two episode for the finale, the company’s CEO has made a statement that will leave fans even more excited knowing the game is in the right hands.
Skybound Games CEO Ian Howe recently held an Ask Me Anything on Reddit where fans were able to get some questions regarding the future development for The Final Season. While questions such as how the story will be affected by the layoffs at Telltale, Howe has confirmed that the originally planned story will be followed up on under Skybound Games.
What Howe was very confident in answering was who he plans to have working on the upcoming episodes for the Final Season. Stating in response:
The plan is for it to be staffed 100% by former Telltale staff,” Howe said. “The only time we’d look elsewhere is if we can’t fill a particular role from former Telltale people.”
He follows up adding that there will be an “slight delay” for Episode 3 & Episode 4. That the plan for right now is to see ‘Broken Toys’ release before 2019, as he commented that he would be “very disappointed if we can’t make that happen”.
