SEGA is seemingly planning new content for Sonic Frontiers in 2026. The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has officially rated the unannounced Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition.
The rating doesn’t indicate what platforms Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition would be for. However, a Nintendo Switch 2 release could be on the table.

Sonic Frontiers launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on November 8, 2022. A Switch 2 Edition would make sense, and we have seen SEGA make a few of their recent games have Switch 2 upgrades.
SEGA hasn’t announced anything regarding this version of Sonic Frontiers. However, whenever a game receives a rating anywhere, this likely means a reveal and release are planned in the near future. On Thursday, there is an Xbox Partner Preview livestream that is confirmed to have at least one game from SEGA.
