For fans who want to feel a taste of nostalgia, the Ape Escape series have shown to be one of the memorable series to hit the PlayStation platform with each iteration of Sony’s platform even including the PlayStation Portable. That was until the release of PlayStation Move Ape Escape which launched in 2010 for PlayStation 3 marking the last title to arrive for the series.

The game unfortunately did not show to gain the same merit as prior installments nor did it leave a good taste in the mouths of fans with this being the last project to see the light of day for the Ape Escape franchise. However, there have been plenty of possible re-entries for the series since then, most recently with the marking of the 20th anniversary for Ape Escape left patient fans hoping to see something with the official return for the lie of games.

Prior to the official birthday of the Ape Escape series, an image was posted of the iconic yellow pants wearing simian hiding behind a tree with the translated caption reading in hope that he has yet to be forgotten essentially. However, nothing has yet to follow-up on this potential tease at a return with a new game. That was until this newest tweet that looks to be picking more fun with new detail on the way later in the year.

The Twitter account @piposaru20th this time has tweeted an image celebrating the arrival of the new decade in 2020 and states that “lots of information” could be on the horizon for this coming year in the near future.

Aside from the post, there is no additional detail that can expand further from the post. Also deriving this tweet from a simple run through an online translator does not help the legitimacy of this tweet either, however, alike reported before that this is in fact an official account for the series despite the page not being properly verified on Twitter.

What do you think might come of this for the Ape Escape series?
