Street Fighter 6 is still far from being the best-selling Street Fighter game of all time. It currently sits third with Street Fighter V sitting at 7.8 million copies sold and Street Fighter II with 6.3 million. Capcom “aims to maximize the game’s user base” by releasing it on the Switch 2.
The only negative feedback the game has received on the Switch 2 is that it does not have a true physical cartridge. It is a Game Key Card, which Capcom counts as a digital sale. When you put the cartridge in the console, it will download the entire game, which can take several hours, just like purchasing any digital game on the eShop.
The Nintendo Switch 2 also became the fastest-selling console launch in video game history by selling 3.5 million units in four days.
In our review of Street Fighter 6, we scored the game a 9 out of 10. It’s the most casual and accessible minded fighting game, without sacrificing any depth for the hardcore players.
