Super Mario Bros. Wonder sold over 600K physical copies on launch day in Japan

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is only a week old and we’ve been slowly getting a better idea as to how successful its launch has been. What we do know is that Wonder is the fastest-selling Super Mario game ever in Europe, Nintendo announced. While it still remains unknown about worldwide or even North American sales, we do know what the game has done in Japan.

As far as physical sales, Super Mario Bros. Wonder has been the best-selling Mario game since the Nintendo Switch was released in 2017. The game has sold 638,000 units in Japan and the closest game to that was Super Mario Odyssey at 462,00 units.
