Super Sonic and More Revealed in New Sonic Frontiers Tokyo Game Show Gameplay Trailer

A brand new trailer for Sonic Frontiers was released today, and it gives us our first look at Super Sonic. The glowing yellow form transitions in after Sonic grabs an emerald from on top of one of the game’s colossal titan bosses.

The trailer shows it to be the last emerald in a group to be found. One would imagine the others would be found during gameplay leading up to the boss, allowing us to get the final one during the boss fight. Some new gameplay was shown as well with a robot enemy hovering in the air, Sonic flying on a different type of robot and a giant volcano.

The trailer also raises an important question. If you are able to transition into Super Sonic in each of these boss fights, then who is the final boss? Could it be a corrupted version of Sonic himself? Maybe. We’ll need to wait until November 8 as the game launches on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and Steam.
