Previously it was revealed that Telltale Games has suffered greatly in staff layoffs due to sales numbers from their recently released titles. Ultimately cancelling their upcoming line up of episodic titles from the California-based developer.
Which really made it worse was the current Final season for their Walking Dead series was put on hold indefinitely when discovering that what’s left of the Telltale staff is working on finishing their contract with Netflix for the Minecraft Story Mode. But it was just announced by the Telltale that they are talking to other developers to bring the last two episodes into reality.

As this is good news to hear from the developer on possibly finishing the conclusion to Clementine’s story, this is only to reassure the fans and not anything to confirm that it will happen. For what partner Telltale is talking to take the job wasn’t mentioned in their statement.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Episode Two will be out on September 25, 2018.
