The Expanse: A Telltale Series Received Nintendo Switch Version Recently

Engagement from Telltale Games has remained fairly quiet these past few years. The reason is pointing towards its ongoing project underway – The Wolf Among Us 2. It was announced back in 2019 and has remained in active development ever since. The most recent update came in October 2024 confirming the title is still in production at the game studio.

More recently this year, it was uncovered a current-generation version for the original The Wolf Among Us game is also in the pipeline too. It was reported that a Nintendo Switch version is the focus, but also understood that newer Xbox & PlayStation versions are to likely be shipped as well. Prior to that, Telltale Games in 2023 did ship The Expanse: A Telltale Series which was received fairly well at the time of release.

And while the game did hit Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, The Expanse: A Telltale Series has not touched Nintendo Switch. That was until recently on April 16th that Telltale Games shipped the 2023 title for the Nintendo eShop. The game is to arrive in the form of ‘The Expanse: A Telltale Series Deluxe Edition’. 

“In addition to the five main chapters that make up the game, the Deluxe Edition includes a bonus episode, starring Shohreh Aghdashloo reprising her role as Chrisjen Avasarala, Secretary-General of the United Nations in The Expanse,” the press release shares. “The Archangel episode offers a brand new perspective on The Expanse: A Telltale Series, where players will experience a fateful day in the life of Chrisjen Avasarala by managing conflicts across the solar system and battling wits with rival politicians, all while navigating family drama on a day that will change her life forever.”

The synopsis for the game reads: “Players take on the role of Camina Drummer (played by actress Cara Gee in both the game and TV series), the XO of a scavenger crew on the hunt for a mysterious treasure on the edges of The Belt. As Drummer, players must deal with a mix of powerful personalities, square off against a bloody mutiny, explore locations beyond The Belt and, most of all, make tough decisions that will decide the fate of The Artemis crew.”
