Within the last handful of months, Rainbow Six Siege received an impressive amount of attention from Ubisoft. The publisher last year rolled out its new upgraded ‘Siege X’ for modern systems which overhauled the core experience. Not to mention the mobile release for Rainbow Six Siege taking place this week as well.
Additionally, Rainbow Six Siege has also welcomed an impressive number of crossovers too. In 2022, the tactical shooter welcomed the ‘Dragon of Dojima’ himself Kazuma Kiryu to the game as a skin for Echo. Similarly through a partnership with Xbox, Rainbow Six Siege also saw ‘Spartan-117’ the Master Chief make an appearance as a legendary Sledge skin as well later in 2023.
Now recently from the Six Invitational 2026, Ubisoft revealed that a new crossover is on the way. But rather than a cosmetic for a pre-existing Operator, this new addition will be a permanent addition to the roster. Konami’s Solid Snake is officially coming to Rainbow Six Siege. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:
“The legendary stealth infiltrator, Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series, is joining Rainbow Six Siege as a permanent, playable Operator when Operation Silent Hunt […] Armed with the Soliton Radar MKIII gadget and his On-Site Procurement ability, Solid Snake excels at tracking down Defender positions and scavenging supplies on the battlefield to adapt to any situation.”
Ubisoft continues: “Debuting a few weeks after the launch of Operation Silent Hunt, the limited-time [REDACTED] event will see Solid Snake teaming up with Zero (aka Sam Fisher) in a new 4v4 infiltration-themed gameplay mode set on a modified version of Nighthaven Labs inspired by an iconic location in the Metal Gear Solid series. The event collection will feature more cosmetic outfits that style Rainbow Six Siege Operators as iconic characters from the Metal Gear Solid series, including Jackal as Gray Fox and Ash as Meryl.”
