Twitch announced the latest feature today coming to the popular streaming platform, Subscriber Streams. A Subscriber stream is a new way for loyal subscribers to gain access to an exclusive stream that the owner of the channel can activate. The channel requirements to be eligible are no guideline violations in the last 90 days, and the owner must be a twitch affiliate or partner.
Many channels attempt to hold subscriber nights, which is usually to reward the viewers that are either VIP’s or subs that have been there from the very start. This will streamline the process by sending the notification that you are live and the viewers can choose anything from game requests or join competitive lobbies for fighting games. When you are in sub stream mode a star appears next to your username on the twitch directory, anyone who isn’t subbed to your channel will only see a preview of what is happening. This feature will begin rolling out today in beta for select partners and affiliates.
If you are a partner or affiliate on Twitch will you use this new feature often?
