When it comes to ongoing operations at Ubisoft, what hasn’t changed aside from its recent shift in ownership is the undergoing titles in development. Previously, it was reported that Assassin’s Creed is a major focus as you might expect. It was disclosed at least ten titles are in the pipeline with even mention of legacy remakes as well. Not to mention the live-action TV series at Netflix also being greenlit most recently in 2025.

Similarly, Far Cry is also a major focus for the publisher in a separate regard. In 2023, it was reported that two titles were in development – Project Blackbird & Project Maverick. According to a recent report last year, Ubisoft told that it is leaning in on its multiplayer strengths for the new releases. And alike its historical sibling, Far Cry is also moving forward with its own live-action series through FX.

Now in an interview with Variety this past week, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has spoken out on both IPs looking ahead. When speaking to the outlet, the Ubisoft boss told that Assassin’s Creed still has “several” installments under its belt currently in development alongside two Far Cry projects which corroborates with the report in 2023.

“We have a solid pipeline underway across Vantage Studios. Under the “Assassin’s Creed” brand, several titles are in development, spanning both single-player and multiplayer experiences, with the ambition to further grow a community that exceeded 30 million players last year,” the CEO told Variety.

He further elaborated: “More broadly, with Vantage Studios established, we have early evidence that our new operating model better empowers our teams to be fully focused on their franchises, which, over time, will translate into both greater predictability in our pipeline and stronger engagement from our players.” Vantage Studios is the new entity that is overseeing IPs like the aforementioned Far Cry & Assassin’s Creed. How surprised are you the amount of projects in development for both franchises?
