This past May was all about Vampire: The Masquerade as developer Hardsuit Labs announced that the title would be arriving to both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. While the respected title is slated to arrive sometime in 2020, the series is already in the works to release a new entry for sometime next year. Announced by developer Big Bad Wolf Studio and publisher Nacon, the pair reveals Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong.
While Bloodlines 2 is set to take place in Seattle, players can find this new project to stretch across New England from Hartford to Boston. But while the settings have changed, the same underground Vampire organization is still strong on the east coast of the United States. Uniquely, Swansong will offer three playable protagonists as you protect your sector of vampiric law.
You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
“Play as 3 vampires, each over a hundred years old. Weave between their intertwined destinies, embracing their different points of view, and making use of their unique abilities to separate the truth from the lies,” the synapse from the game’s website reads. “Each character has their own vampiric disciplines that can be upgraded to suit your preferred approach. Will you choose, intimidation, seduction, or stealth? It’s your decision, provided you can keep the hunger for blood at bay.”
One unexpected announcement to follow the game’s debut is that the series will also be introduced to the Nintendo eShop with Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong. While the upcoming Bloodlines 2 is slated for the beefier current-gen systems and the approaching next-generation consoles, you would suspect that the following installment would not be possible for the hybrid handheld console.
Are you excited that Vampire: The Masquerade will continue into 2021?
Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
